Founder & Chess Coach
I started playing chess aged 5 and went on to represent England at the World and European Chess Championships from ages 10-18.
I have 15 years of experience teaching students ranging from age 5-60 yrs (it's never too late to start!) from beginners to advanced players. I also have experience teaching large groups of children with Sussex Junior Chess & Somerset County Chess.

Grandmaster & Coach
Ravi
I am a chess grandmaster and have represented England at the Olympiad, the European Team Championships, and the Fide World Cup.
I have also published two chess books focusing on building a flexible and ambitious opening repertoire.
In addition to a player career, I have coached students of all levels since the age of 13. One of my former students recently became the youngest ever British player to achieve the Grandmaster title.

International Master & Coach
Dagne
I'm an International Master, a former member of the Lithuanian and later the English Women's National Team. I have competed in some of the biggest chess tournaments in the world, including the Women's Chess Olympiad and Women's World Championship.
I am also the author of two online chess courses: Learn to Counterattack (Active Defence) and Castling in Chess.
I am a professional chess coach, as well as a chess event's organizer.

Chess Coach
Akito
I am a 4-time National Champion and have represented
England at various European and World Youth Championships.
I have 6 years of coaching experience and have helped some
Juniors go on to represent England.
Aside from chess, I have also been ranked World #1 at the board
game Settlers of Catan, and have represented Team GB for
Ultimate Frisbee, so I know how to develop a winning mindset.

Chess Coach
Matthew
I began playing chess competitively 4 years ago and ran a chess club at my secondary school.
I love chess and have just begun coaching. I focus on instilling curiosity in students by coaching in an exploratory way e.g. investigating different move options in depth and reasoning through them.
I want my students to have fun, while also picking up the invaluable life skills chess helps develop, such as critical and strategic thinking.

Chess Coach
Elena
I started playing chess at the age of 6. I have been French Vice-Champion Under-20, French Blitz Champion Under-20, and a member of the French junior national team.
Outside of chess, I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Law.
I have experience coaching both children and adults, whether online or in person. My aim is to help every player build a deeper understanding of the game and, most importantly, enjoy it.

Chess Coach
I’m 28 years old and I started playing chess during The Queen's Gambit chess boom, roughly 6 years ago. In that time, I managed to obtain an online rating of 2100, so I know exactly what’s required for fast development. Even for those who are picking up the game in adulthood!
I used to be a teacher in Korea for over 4 years, working at public schools around the country, managing classes of up to 25 students, handling afterschool programs and organising events. During this time, I also spent six months coaching at a chess academy, teaching both individual lessons and small group classes.
I like to spark a passion and enthusiasm for chess within my students, and value curiosity and enjoyment when it comes to teaching.

Chess Coach
Jack
I have 3 years coaching experience, predominantly in coaching young children. I really enjoy sharing my passion for chess and seeing students gaining confidence, developing tactical awareness, and crucially, enjoying themselves.
Chess has been a constant in my life since I was 4 and I hope to inspire students to have a similar relationship with chess, honing transferable skills such as critical thinking and an analytical mindset.

Chess Coach
Lasega
I am a developing chess player with a growing passion for the game. With my experience in tutoring, I combine my skill of teaching and my enthusiasm for chess to bring basic principles to beginners.
I hope to look back on the beginners I first taught and see them shine in their chess journeys and grow to love the game as I do.

Chess Coach
I’m a national-level chess player from India with a strong passion for coaching. I’ve helped both children and adults improve their skills, build confidence and enjoy chess through fun, engaging lessons.
I also create online content focused on chess teaching and game analysis, reaching an audience of over 100,000 people. My goal is to make chess easier to understand, enjoyable to learn and accessible to more players.

Chess Coach
Hi, I’m Mahya!
I am a chess player and coach with a Master’s degree in Psychology.
I currently play for several chess teams in London and regularly participate in leagues and tournaments. My experience as both a player and a coach has helped me develop a strong understanding of the game and work effectively with students of different ages and skill levels.
Depending on each student’s needs and level, lessons may cover opening principles, tactics, strategic planning, checkmate patterns, and endgames. I also review students’ games to identify their strengths and areas for improvement, and create a personalised learning plan to support their progress.

Chess Coach
Varun
I’ve taught in schools for over a year and a half, helping students of all levels grow their skills and confidence.
Competitively, I’ve won the Inter-London University Championship and the British Universities 3rd Division, but what I really enjoy is bringing chess to life with humour, history, and quirky ideas that keep lessons exciting and memorable.
Whether you're just starting out or chasing your next online high score, I’ll help you think deeper, play sharper, and have fun doing it!

Chess Coach
Yong
I have been playing chess both casually and competitively for 15 years now. Having competed at various national tournaments as a junior, I now play more often online, having recently peaked (briefly!) at 2400.
I have also tutor academically so I do know what it takes to help students reach their goals, whether that be competitive or for personal enjoyment.

Chess Coach
Sam
Having played since I was just three years old, I cannot imagine my life without the game of chess.
After a global journey spent snowboarding across the world, I’ve settled in London to further explore my passions.
My competitive career reached a unique peak when I was selected to represent the United Kingdom at the NATO Chess Championships. To this day this is a personal and career highlight of mine.
My goal as a coach is to foster that same passion in my students while improving to new levels.

Chess Coach
Alexander
I grew up playing chess and have played competitively since I was 10.
I have recently started coaching chess part-time, and I am really enjoying sharing my knowledge, inspiring others, and helping beginners develop their own strategies and confidence in the game.

Chess Coach
Prem
I’m a competitive chess player with over a decade of experience, including national championships in India and multiple tournament medals.
I also teach chess and really enjoy helping others learn the game. If you're curious about chess or want to improve, I'm here to help make it fun.
