Looking for a fun and structured way for your child to develop their chess skills this autumn?
Our Sunday children's chess club in Chelsea offers weekly chess sessions for children aged 5–10, combining coaching, practical play and plenty of opportunities to build confidence over the board.
The sessions are designed for kids who already have a basic understanding of how the pieces move and how a game of chess works. Whether your child is relatively new to the game or already enjoys playing regularly, our coaches adapt the sessions to suit different abilities within the group.
What to expect
Each session is designed to help children develop their chess in a supportive and enjoyable environment. We work on practical skills such as tactics, strategy, patterns and decision-making, while giving children plenty of opportunities to put what they learn into practice.
Chess is a great way for children to develop concentration, problem-solving and independent thinking, but our priority is that they enjoy playing and feel comfortable learning alongside other children.
The club is run by experienced chess coaches and provides a friendly setting where children can learn, play and gradually become more confident chess players.
