Frequently asked Questions

How do online chess lessons work?

Using Google Meet for video calls and Lichess.org as our interactive chess board. Your coach can move pieces with you in real time, share their screen, and guide you through tactics, openings, and full games.

What if I live in a different time zone?

We have flexible scheduling and multiple coaches, so we can usually find a time that works wherever you are in the world.

Are online lessons suitable for beginners?

Yes! Our coaches are experienced at teaching complete beginners online — both adults and children. We start with the basics and build confidence at your pace.

How long are lessons and how often should I have them?

Lessons are typically 45 or 60 minutes. Most students learn fastest with one session per week plus some light practice in between.

Do online lessons really work as well as in person?

Definitely. Many students progress even faster online because they can review games, replay positions, and access all their materials digitally.
